Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans
for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be
limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI
all over again?

For practical and ceremonial reasons, this makes sense to me:

If we did it this way, people would remember. And whatever else
happened, the world would not end by nuclear explosion.
Now, it could.

Re the paper above:
Check the list Showalter for Foundation Paradigm Shift
with the vision to offer exposition time - professional
presentations - to yourself (and others, detoured, treading water)
stranded by the present.

I've often pondered on Japan with it's almost zero interest
rates. I worked out that once rates hit zero and below ... then, the
lender of money to the bank would actually be paying into the bank -
so to speak. And how would this work.
Japan noted for standing still, is now officially declared to be
GOING BACKWARDS and people are paying extra into the bank to
maintain the value of their deposit.
HOW?
The overall devaluation of all assets Japanese.

The Japanese PM has started on a reform projectory .. but he has
to do more than start .. has to follow it.
As posted above, this PM - as per culture, dumped his then
pregnant wife ... gave her children to his sister ... and has a son
he has never sighted who would dearly like to utter the words "Hello
Dad"

It is surely time for clear expositions.
I've felt a little insecure, afraid to push for clear exposition.
That feeling of insecurity is wearing off.

If the Japanese and the Americans were honest on some key
things, the paralysis would simply disappear.
The Russians are digging themselve out of a wrenching, awful
mess. But at least they're digging out.
Not getting themselve mired deeper.

Somehow, I didn't get much sleep last night.
Searched a lot of things that didn't feel right to post.
How to get across the main message?
We're very special animals. Maybe in the "eyes of God."
Maybe "just by chance," but animals still.
We aren't Gods. We have to check.
. . .
I'm going to bed real early, and getting some sleep.

Papers in black and white have a limited readership. Were the
paper fully illustrated --
was it Walt Disney who made Donald Duck our guide
through the wonders of Pythagoras land ("Wow" length of string -
sound of note ) --- [ not me of course, i'm a chick not a duck
]
and futher and future potentials and value to humanity of such
works put forward then in marketing terms there'd me more
pull than push a continental drift of paradigms.
Why wait for the future when it's benefits could happen
now?
