Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans
for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be
limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI
all over again?

Via a net search it should be possible to look, via annual
report, at the spectum-list below and determine either their stated
mission (what is it they set out to do, and how) or an ethical
statement as per professionals - Setting what they aim to do, and in
the spirit done - as against what they are doing - and the potential
+ - ethical effects. So, how close to, or far from, are
Organisations (comprised of individuals) and individual
professionals, to their initial motivating reason d'etre.
Most bright eyed bushy tailed kids set out as idealists on their
chosen careers ... have the Organisations they're attatched to
served them well?
Boeing... Brookings Institution -
audited/investigated Carlyle Engineer course/Professional
ethics General Electric Heritage Foundation Lockheed
Martin Lockheed NORAD, the Canadian-American defence
organization Nucwatch Project Ploughshares Westinghouse
Their mission statement is an 'ideal' ... do these guys (above)
live up to this?

Basic confict might be seen in that These guys want to make money
from weapons contracts: Boeing, Carlye, Lockheed, Westinghouse ...
whereas others are opposed to activities that have inhuman
applications: http://www.prop1.org/nucnews/2000nn/0005nn/000523nn.htm
The logic has to be for those working to destroy humanity to
start acting to build it!
