Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans
for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be
limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI
all over again?

The Chinese Military, in common with the Indonesian Military, do
pretty much what they like - ie they're 'out of control'. The
Chinese this past weeks will deflect attention every this way and
that .. to cover up ... regarding their outrageously shockingly low
standards with respect of HUMAN RIGHTS.
To designate some citizens as 'other' try them and kill them ...
harvest their body parts for sale $AUS15.000 .. is the main concern
of that Liberation Army gang of goons ...
AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL note
today that China
in round figures has over the past 3 months sentenced almost 3000
people to death, and 2000 people, in the last few months, have been
'murdered' by that government.
If China want 2008 Games - their only legitimate way would be
to be made to stop using the 'death penatly' ... it only
represents the corruption of the Liberation (!?!) army in the body
parts trade! It would be excellent if China had to make HUMAN rights
concessions prior to getting those games ... and the countries that
levered them into a decent behavioural standard would be admired!
If China does get the games ... there will be more and more world
discontent re human rights over the next years that i'd be surprised
if the games could go ahead - in the Olympic Spirit. Additionally
the water supply in Beijing is drying out! They don't have water to
properly flush toilets even now.

Croatia's
Western-leaning government found itself confronting collapse and
potential civil unrest today after it decided this weekend to send
two of its citizens to the international war crimes tribunal in
The Hague.
The government, Croatia's first in 10 years not dominated by
nationalists, made the decision after pressure mounted since
Slobodan Milosevic, the former Yugoslav president, was transferred
to the tribunal on June 28.

"It is technically easy to make missiles and
