    Missile Defense

Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI all over again?

easy now, almarst -- you look at these folks, and some of them have deep, deep, sincere love and respect for themselves.

And you can make mistakes, too.

thinking ')' factually ...

Scientific facts are univerally accepted as 'fact' .. until jettisoned .. which may be over the very long time period.
Social fact one supposed may have to be measured against selected standards and criteria ... which inturn qualitatively advances, with the upward movement of standards as time progresses.

Don't want to be too goody - goody but still feel like posting this, before talking a little about facts, and the logic people have to use.

The current situation needs reframing, a secular redemption http://talk.guardian.co.uk/WebX?14@@.ee79f4e/1345

The redemptive solution can't be an abstraction, or a fizzle - it has to be able to propagate - to get past chain breakers , as only a redemptive solution can. http://talk.guardian.co.uk/WebX?13@@.ee79f4e/618

The Bush administration could be great

But if it blows it, it may go down as the most corrupt and ugly administration in the long history of the United States.

I and most honest people I know are no fans of Milosovic. But the behavier of the West is the most disgusting one I ever vitnessed or experienced.

This just showed wery clearly why the dishonest and practical above all (even in its crimes) WEST will never be accepted on the East. And not just in Russia. And not just by Slavic nations. NEVER!

I can only be sorry for those honest people who has an unfortunate job duty to deal directly with those self-imposed "leaders of a World community".

"This trial's aim is to produce false justification for the war crimes of Nato committed in Yugoslavia," he said.

At that point Judge May used a button on his desk to cut off Mr Milosevic's microphone. "

Those are "peanats". The NATO bombed the TV station. Killing the jounalists. Humanly, for sure. To "defend the freedom of the media", if someone have missed the point.

IF SM wants to make a political 'Press Release' at this juncture - he could.

The Judge is keeping matters on the 'legal' track, without diversions.

the most fundamental logical operator is not

    . X implies Y and its opposite

    ........but

    . X is consistent with Y and it's opposite.

Put enough consistencies and inconsistencies together, in a tight structure, and you come as close to proof as human beings can come. This is standard procedure in court. When dealing with evidence it is all anyone can ever do.

And, for the important things, if enough matching is done, it is often enough.

The world is better, and closer to justice, than it was even a few months ago. People are paying attention. And the "WEST" isn't entirely "getting away with it."

And the "WEST" is spending some significant time and effort (not consistently to be sure, but spending it) trying to figure out HOW to accept the EAST.

Maybe it should be easier -- but there's real effort -- and a real knowledge that a problem of communication is there.

One would assume that the case will be mostly about 'Serbians' talking about Serbian happenings. Obviously a lot of people died in 'nasty' ways, and Serbians want to bring to account the person they see as being the commander-in-chief who let this happen.

The backdrop of economic chaos, lack of a succession plan by Tito, may have created an environment that enabled SM to 'rise' to the top of the political heap.
