Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans
for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be
limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI
all over again?

I take a coupla hours off for my weekly Toastmasters Meeting and
you guys pump out 54 posting and alot of hot air. Is the Global
Warming Site? 56,818 or was it 58,616. Mea Culpa made it up! The
point is that the scene in which the pre hominid "wins" the water
hole over the body o the competing tribe is linked to the present by
the tossing of the bone into the air and it transforming into a
satellite. I gave a seminar on Space and teaching science to high
school and middle school teachers. That 7 min 10 second sequence
encapsulates all of mankinds tool making history into that time
frame.
Missile defense is far better than MAD. I've seen the plans and
sweated the klaxons going off when Nixon mined Haiphong Harbor. We
were at DEFCON II which, had there been any response to our actions,
would have taken us to DEFCON I and would have initiated an EWO,
(Emergency War Orders) launch. Not pretty to even think about!!
