    Missile Defense

Russian military leaders have expressed concern about US plans for a national missile defense system. Will defense technology be limited by possibilities for a strategic imbalance? Is this just SDI all over again?

Who has this missile technology with the range to hit the US?

  • Technology is nothing more then applied knowledge. It proliferates over time. It is natural. One need only examine the proliferation of nuclear weapons from 45 till present.

Especially when missile defense is only a bluff- without any reasonable technical substance at the system level at all, and we are using it to dismantle all the treaties we have on nuclear weapons.

I don't think there are any credible explanations for what is happening. We are looking at a fraud -- and a grossly irresponsible one.

But perhaps someone else sees it differently? It seems to me a crucial issue is

    -- CAN the system work?

There's no reason to believe it will, except trust in people who have perpetrated fraud after fraud in this area -- and who now seem to be pushing ahead because the project is a lie, and the only way to keep that from coming out is to escalate and continue the lying.

    Perhaps I've missed something?
