Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click
"rshow55" for some things Lchic and I have done and worked for
on this thread.
http://www.mrshowalter.net/calendar1.htm
is a calender page, with links to day-by-day postings on the
NYT Missile Defense thread starting on May 25 2000 and
continuing to July 17 2002. . .
A central purpose of the thread has been to show how
useful the internet can be - how important and challenging
"collecting the dots" is, if there is to be any hope for a
correct, balanced, and beautiful "connecting of the dots."

lchickie says that she is 'an occasional poster'.
Good lord can you imagine what her number of posts would be
if she became a 'frequent poster'.
It staggers the imagination.
'Motor Sports' has been archived. So long 'jackie' we
hardly knew ye.
What's this forum? Oh yea.
Yes I believe our missiles should be defended.

"...Yes I believe our missiles should be defended."
It's our cities that need to be defended. All our best
missiles are already virtually invulnerable because they're at
sea aboard the original stealth platforms, submarines.

No doubt. Just trying to follow the rules. (With my
standard 'missile defense' on topic post)
Everywhere I post becomes moderated or archived.
This place is all I have left. *sniff* *sniff*

"...I think we need to get to a point where international
law can work..."
It does work. Lchic asked why "the world community" haven't
indicted Saddam to appear in some world court. She says:

"..."Why isn't the world community saying you have to
yield this man for trial?"..."
The first question that comes to my mind is "who is
you" and the second question is how would they persuade
Saddam to go to trial with any less force than is apparently
about to be used against him now? I believe UN resolution 1441
is the indictment of Saddam by the world community and
that the "you" lchic doesn't know she's referring to is
the international coalition that's about to bring Saddam to
justice.
If that's not right then whomever the "you" are, this would
be a good time for them to show up. Where are they lchic???
