Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

While the Pentagon and White House have maintained a tight
lid on any strategic information coming out of Afghanistan,
Russian military intelligence has been closely monitoring U.S.
activities in the country, claiming that 18 U.S. soldiers were
captured and then executed by the Taliban, reports
Geostrategy, the global intelligence news agency.
All of the soldiers are believed to have been executed on
April 10 after the United States ignored a Taliban and
al-Qaida deadline for the withdrawal of troops from
Afghanistan.
No bodies have been recovered.
The Russians also assert, in details confirmed in part by
U.S. officials, that U.S. forces have been mired in a
guerrilla war against determined al-Qaida and Taliban forces.
From Oct. 7, 2001, until September 2002, 152 Americans were
killed in Afghanistan with another 215 wounded, according to
the intelligence data.

"There are no civil rights in Cuba and no rule of
law"
I am more concern about the situation at home.
Since famoust Jesus phrase about woman to be stoned, it
used to be considered an ethical norm to fix your problems
before criticizing others. Not to mention - stoning with some
"smart" bombs.

Indonesia
It seems the country is still run to some extent by the
rich family of the disreputable former president.
There are 'army' factions who are a law unto themselves.
A disaffected Cleric who's logic influenced the Bali
killings is currently 'making' Indonesian foreign policy!
That Parliament has seats allocated to the military - these
should become 'civil' seats ... the military is UNDER the
Civilian government it is NOT the Government.
All Parliamentary seats should be subject to election via
the entire populations votes.
