Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

Rshow ....
The recent exchanges here remind me of a joke:
A father had 3 daughters. Nance , Flo and Lupey. Come the
Prom night and a knock at the door. Knock ... Knock ... Knock.
The father answers and the young man says "Hi I'm Beau, I've
come to take Flo to the show". The Father bids them well and
they leave. Then another knock. Knock ... Knock ... Knock. "Hi
I'm Lance I've come to take Nance to the dance" says the young
man. Again the father bids them well and they leave. Knock ...
Knock ... Knock. A third knock. The father opens the door and
the young man says "Hi I'm buck ..
And the father slams the door and calls out F off.
The moral: keep your sense of humour.

First of all, that joke does not make sense. Second
your joke is not symmetrical. The third chickee's name needs
to rhyme with buck. Perhaps you could use luck, pluck, or
anuck. Third the punch line could then be "I'm buck I've
come for luck in my truck". Then the father could say
"Buck off". Uhh, which still wouldn't be funny but at
least it would have symmetricallity. And the moral? You
need a new joke book.

The many-monikered-poster demonstrates
a higher level of intelligence ... he invents and re-invents
himself ... thus finding someone of equal intelligence with
a parallel 'sense' of humour ... so saying, Buck and Fred
spend their day playing on The Thread ...
sometime later another of their playmates may call to
join them at play ... will it be Teddy-Walker or
Joking-George ... ..... and that's the way it goes for
Tiny-Texan-Toes!

Missile Defense anyone?
