    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Showalter did the CIA use their 'abilities' to send you that letter you requested of them yet?

Or do they have 'selected' abilities - more Hawk than Dove!

When Saddam was a 'golden boy' of the CIA ... what did they do with his mind?

What happens in such minds that they can think of people as 'others', as 'pawns', as 'chips' ..... where they, the di, decide the score including 'life' ... on the toss of a coin so to speak!

Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click "rshow55" for some things Lchic and I have done and worked for on this thread.

almarst2002 11/15/02 7:22am . . . I believe I have an exact, complete and totally satisfactory solution to the problem you point to. My hope is that I'm right - and that the solution is one that would appeal, not only practically, but aesthetically, to Iraqis as well as other people all over the world.

But I need to block out a few things - not that I can ever be sure from such blocking out - but as a precaution and a courtesy. One wants to check those few things one can.

One thing Saddam could do - through friends - that would be honorable for both him, and for me, and for others associated - would be to take a few steps, not involving money - but status exchange - to assist me in my effort to pay some of my debts - especially to some old investors.

White Paper social policy

lunarchick - 08:35am Nov 15, 2002 EST (# 5789 of 5794)

"The Social Contract." In it Rousseau proposes a visionary society in which all rights and property would be vested in the State, which would be under the direct control of "the People." Large meetings of the public would be held in order to determine the collective interest as perceived by the "general will"; this the State would then dutifully enforce. Rousseau justifies this strange synthesis of communism and direct democracy by arguing that the abrogation of individual rights would abolish special privileges, and that tyranny would be impossible because the People would never oppress themselves.
