Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

The Washington press corps has come grudgingly to the
recognition that George W. Bush is “malleable” with the truth,
as the Washington Post delicately put it. Pressing for war
with Iraq, Bush has been exaggerating his case so much that
even CIA analysts are complaining, as a number of newspapers
have now reported. - http://www.consortiumnews.com/2002/110402a.html

Commentaries
Robert:
You babble about ILM and Bill Gates. Meanwhile the Army
THEL shot down an artillery shell! You suppose that Gates'
programming acumen and your direction would lead to a clear
display of the futility of Missile Defense. Meanwhile the ABL
is being fitted with the battle laser and battle management
software to engage missiles during boost phase. Do you think
the ABL commander will call, "Begin Primary Ignition
Sequence!"
These events have been reported and are "checkable". Your
musings are just that. Why would Gates even want to talk to
you?

The poster above ---
what do you think --- what do you contribute ---
at which school of etiquette did you study --- BILL -
why should Bill talk to Bob --- at last a
'thinking question' Bill has concerns for world health
Bob has concerns for world health
Bill looks for wide distribution of funds along lines that
will do good for the majority Bob has ideas and concepts
that fit
Bill's pre-emptive enablers save lives Bob has ideas
for low cost distributed systems individual user that will
enhance health and life
So it seems that Bill&Bob have lots in common
Would have much to talk about Would share
'common ground' Read from the same and similar pages

Iraq
Were Iraq to look at the works of the USA founding Fathers
and adopt 'universals' from them
their ability to implement might exceed that of the USA
where cultural enclaves pre-dominate and override reason

On Am using Iraq Iran as battling pawns ... to keep
strength of both lowest ...
How come intelligent nations fall for that ? What did
they think they had to gain ? What was dangled?
Moral | stay well clear of 'trouble makers'
Where nations have a VISION, a PLAN, an AGENDA and are
engaged with their people and neighbours then the chances of a
dominant power interupting life are lessoned.
