Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

Empathy - shared ground
E M P A T H Y
Leaders need to revive the concept of empathy, too often
overlooked.
Putin-Chechnya
Bush-Iraq
should look to empathy.
They don't have to overly love their supposed enemy
(comprised of human beings in replicated family and social
groups - some with many family-members dead via
bullet) They do have to have understanding and empathy for
their plight
Empathy enables COMMUNICATION within shared space to
happen!!
Empathy is appreciation of the roles and value of people
where/when there has been hostility.
The daily agony of death, by sniper's bullet, or via
summary execution of hostages, can be understood by regular
folks.
People are not numbers or characters within a
military-game.
People are real.
People all have needs for themselves and visions of a
future for their children.

A thought | has there been any attempt to lay before the
USA and world publics comparisons of how
Islam | Christianity | Other religions | Humanism
work for people
and where the no-end-game-hate of Fundmentalism falls short
... and has no value in peaceful economically advancing
societies.
Or is this all left to the whims of the private sphere.

My bet is, working as she does, she'll not
only make the world a more beautiful place, in many, many
ways - - she'll also save more lives than Schindler. By
combining erudition and grace - and making things personal
enough that they are vivid and realistic.
You've out done yourself rshow55. With posts like that
