    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

This might be a stretch but sometimes i wonder if US policy has become a proxy tool of Israeli/US jewry hardliners' coalition. Anyone care to refute my claim and prove me wrong. I really hope I am wrong because everytime I see Sharon's face, I do get scared for the future of America.

Maybe it is Sharon/Rummy/Wolforwitz/Pearle who are really running the US foreign policy at this moment, fully supported by their congressional brothers (Alan Spector (Rep) and who was that guy that ran with Gore?) and THE LOBBY. William Safire, Koppel family and..oh yes Larry King would be their PR agent, with Safire having the added honor of being the minister of propaganda for Sharon. Salzberg family that owns NYT would be just the final arbiter of any internal disagreements that can come up from time to time among all these strong willed figures. So how about it? Care to educate me on my crazy view?

Bsh Jr saw how THE LOBBY and SAFIRE media destroyed his father's presidency despite the big war victory saving the free world....every time he tries to move of the box Sharon, Safire, Specter and THE LOBBY put him into, he gets reminded of the lessen and he behaves again. No wonder Brent Scrawford...(what's his name...the old patriot that this country would be sourly missing)..anyway, no wonder he felt compelled to publicly slam Bush Jr despite the long family loyalty. But soon after NYT published a slander piece on him with veiled threat of further goods (manufactured ones) on him....it was tragic sight for America. But I am sure none of these will make any sense to gisterme, mazza and etc etc of this world. I weep for you, America.

Bye.....

"...In fact Rummy was about to be pushed out of his job by the uiformed brass right before 9-11.....what an irony..."

Umm, since the office of secretary of defense is appointed by the president and confirmed by the congress, don't you think you're maybe being a bit unrealistic in your implication that the "uniformed brass" in any way have the power to push the secretary of defense out of his office? Do you think anybody would really believe that implication, manju? Not likely. Not in the real world.

"...As for US media, I have never seen them take any negative or cynical view against any jewish american political leaders such as rummy etc.....why is that? Maybe you can shed some light for me, gisterme..."

Scandals bring income to the media. I don't think they'd miss the opportunity for a big payday based on ethnicity. Perhaps you don't hear much press criticism of the folks you mention because they don't surround themselves with scandal, manju.

I haven't noticed the media focusing their reporting on the ethnicity of any person being scandalized unless they're making them out to be victims, of course. Then they often seem to selectively focus on ethnicity.

gisterme

Your ignorance of real world is simply amazing.

The uniformed brass was in open revolt againt Rummy and Wolf....when the joint chiefs rebel against the civilian head of DOD, the presidents listen. That's how the "real" world works.

Anyway, it seems obvious I am wasting my time with you. Go and read stuff other than your daily diet of media junk food.

Shoo...and Bye.......

The UK has Lord Levy, a former record producer, leading its Middle East Policy. This is the man who "arranged for a circle of leading pro-Israel Zionist fundraisers to put millions of pounds into Mr Blair's opposition war chest."

... the most grotesque appointment since Caligula proclaimed his horse a pro-consul of Rome.
