Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

...but since the pronouncement from on high, (by Showalter
et al), are that missile defense is a boondoggle then there
will be NO support for missile defense. So why post endlessly
at this forum except to obfuscate?

How big is the pie?
Who slices it?
How is it cut?
Half the USA Federal-Tax-Pie goes to the
Military to build 'whiteElephants'
Could the Human Capital, project teams
and resources so used to construct the
OBSCENE
move over to make something
GREEN?

Bali - was mentioned by Terrorists as a place to be hit -
this info was with the USA three weeks ago ... so says 'The
Washington Post'
American 'intelligence' hadn't go the practical
intelligence to convey this to Australia (America's 'Friend')!
Who, in the Parliament ... who exactly is it who would be
responsible for, and able to answer a question on the above?
