Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

Sigmund Freud, 1929 said
Men have gained control over the forces of nature to
such an extent that with their help they would have no
difficulty in exterminating one antoher to the last man.
They know this, and hence comes a large part of their
current unrest, their unhappiness and their mood of
anxiety. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
? Were the men of 1929 a smarter more intelligent breed
than the right wing neo-conservatives who think they inherit
the earth 2002?

Michael Howard (1981) 'On fighting a nuclear war'
When I read the flood of scenarios ... I ask myself
in bewilderment; this war they are describing, what is it
about? The defense of Western Europe? Acess to the
[Persian} Gulf? The protection of Japan?

Almarst would enlighten him with the one word 'oil'
A second word 'greed' might be added .... how much money do
the ElderBushBunch make from MD when cntracts start to flow?

The 'MONSTERS' of today seem to be the American creations
of yesterday! (re K 6.48am)
Take a look at US Admin's foreign policy of C20 - that it
was run by the Shadow to protect the Greed rights amd vested
intersts looking to high oil/cash flows from black/gold seems
to have stopped emergent democracy .... find the US
involvement then see the outcome ... and see how disadvantage
'the people' have become.
Why not put GWB and SH in the sumo ring and let them go for
it round after round after round --- let them knock the hell
out of each other --- give others a break from being 'killed'!

villages in the north until Russia wiped them off the face of
the Earth.

POSSIBLY have the SLIGHTEST THING to do with MISSILE
