Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

I was drawn to this forum by the premise stated regarding Missile Defense. I didn't join to have words with lchic who needs a tutorial in Emily Post polite behavior.

When they continue their rudeness I ignore them.

Uhhh...Pardon Me, Mr. Lou Mazza, but from what I've seen in these forums you ignore all kinds of people who aren't even rude to you. If you're going to rely on Emily Post's dictums on civility then you should at least practice what you preach. I mean, how rude do you think YOU appear when you pointedly ignore posts directed to you which ARE "on topic" AND respectful of your "sensibilities".

Personally, I think Emily Post must be the ultimate Prima Donna. She's like the "Princess and The Pea" who was intolerably irritated, in spite of mountains of soft padding, by what everyone else would regard as insignificant.

There's only ONE PERSON I totally ignore in ALL the NYT forums and she knows why! I joined NYT forums when they were still posting people's e-mail links. Within a week this airhead was sending me messages demanding to know whether or not I was "Psrain", along with a pile of crap about who she hated and wanted to get banned. I told her what I thought of her, and ever since then she pops into forums to push MY "hot buttons".

Now, you must realize that the nature of this topic is one bound to inflame people one way or the other. That's why fanatic left-wing sell-outs like lchic exercise their scatological impulses with their nasty NAZI smears. They mustn't be ignored! Rather, they must be FORCED into submission by a bombastic blitzkrieg of balderdash......
