    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

Look what the cat dragged in from the barn.......

Meanwhile down in the barnyard Robert's copping a fierce pecking from that shagnasty rooster (doesn't even know he's a chook ...dumb as a box of rocks) Canthorn Tabbhorn:

I doubt he'll include all the posts TILL Nov 14. Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk That will be self-imploding ! Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk

But he has NOT said yet Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk IF his "corpus" CD is a Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk TRUE copy Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk of everything on this thread till Nov 14. Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk

No peck-and-choose selectivity. Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk rshow and lchic don't seem ready Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk or so "happy" to leave -- YET Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk ! Still ranting, still demanding ! Bwark-bwarkk bwaark bwaaaaark I expect their posting frenzy will continue till the end. Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk

Am glad, in a way, kate-nyt gave NO time for the axe. Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk To put them out of their misery,Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk the sooner the better Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk -- how about a minute past midnight tonight Bwark-bwuk bwuk bwk ? Canthorn, whatever Bwark-bwarkk bwaark bwk you have to say, just let me say 'right back at ya' and double it. I don't have your luxury of 'time to waste'.

It's Your Bwark-bwarkk bwaark bwk .... no value to MD and no interest to me.

"What a relief ! I've got other things to do, believe me. . ."

Yeah, right, like I believe you.....

Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click "rshow55" for some things Lchic and I have done and worked for on this thread.

Cantabb: He has NOT yet admitted to the misrepresentation !

Cantabb, old buddy, if you want to get into that with me - invite me to where you are - and we can talk about it.

I've been playing it straight. And if you "call me Ishmael" the most interesting things about the board remain anyway.

"And if you "call me Ishmael""

A Tidal-Wave and Force Ten Hurricane @ the same time could NOT STOP Showalter from repeating the "Ishmael" line one more time....

F**k you, bluestar - - - and while we're being informal, I'd like to make a small complaint.

Folks have been claiming I'm an uncontrolled, violent type. Lchic , lovely and wonderful as she is - may be partly to blame for that.

Casey didn't think it would be that hard to come in through the NYT ( he thought you folks were smart ) - - I had a coherent story - and combat skills that could pass fairly well, in a pinch, as evidence, or credentials.

Every time I tried to breach the subject of presenting those credentials, Lchic freaked.

For instance. Back when I thought Lchic had connections that were pretty direct to the TIMES - I suggested that I could show my stuff to Jesse Ventura - then Governor of Minnesota - and that to make sure there was no risk to Ventura - he could have a knife.

Now, I ask you, what could be a more moderate request than that? Between Ventura's size, and skill, and the knife, and the state trooper, guns drawn, protecting him - what risk could there be ?

I was hoping to engage the man in conversation - after presenting the only credentials I had. As a politico - and a man with some training- I figured he could route me. I had no paperwork - for what seemed to me pretty reasonable reasons. Though I thought, given entre, I could get to some paperwork.

Now, I've always tried to be an inocuous person. But lchic drew the wrong conclusions - - much to my dismay.

This idea that I'm an agressive, uncontrolled fellow is just nuts .
