    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

The ghost of Thomas Gradgrind lives on through the Cantabbulator

Since I won't call you, as suggested, "Ishmael," so why NOT you calling me a name ? Right ?

How childish !

ultimately TRUTH outs : TRUTH has to be morally forcing : build on TRUTH it's a strong foundation

There's an interesting story circulating in the non-usa press ...

says there's been a push (of the USA press) by the Bush Administration for more feel good stories regarding a military situatation in the middle east

local papers throughout America have been publishing 'Wish you were here' type letters to the editor, purporting to be from young guys on the ground -- in a hot zone

parents reaching out to congratulate the writers discover that the boys in uniform didn't actually pen these notes ...

.... and other parents just know that the standard of literacy displayed is beyond the reach of their children

Now that's interesting ... isn't it?

Cantabb that poster was looking for a 'response' from 'you' ... don't disappoint!

Which derisive 'charm' school begot Cantabb ...

Apparently NOT the same that "begot" you and your leader/emperor with invisible clothes !

"ultimately TRUTH outs : TRUTH has to be morally forcing : build on TRUTH it's a strong foundation"

"[U]ltimately" ? Not by keeping so or hoping for it. "Truth" in a specific area ? Or, just anything generic, dispensed by a nearby ATM, upon request ?

If that poster could read, he'll get his answer right in my post and its link (both in English).

"Nature Neuroscience" IS published in English [NOT in Chinese, so far as I know ].

btw, forgetting something ? Isn't THAT poster also supposed to be on your "ignore" list ? Problems with your "ignore" function ? Or mere curiosity of what you chose to "ignore" ?

That poster can't write .... read/write - which comes first?

'That poster' plays the idot on the threads ... why don't you go into the other threads and chastise the fellow?
