    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

We could call it the "Web Forum Withdrawel Support Web Fourm Withdrawel Web Forum", WFWSWFWWF for short, bluestar. :-)

Standing alone, it would seem a strangley morbid form of entertainment. I'll admit that...well,...here I am. :-)

You can’t seem to stop talking about how much you relish the ‘Wallowing in this slop' !

[to lchic -] on her tag-line

Right...if "outs" means "prevails".

You and rshow keep saying that but never quite get around to expressing what you mean by "morally forcing" in any terms that make sense. If "truth prevails ultimately" then how can truth not be "morally forcing"? I'm just applying the concatenated dictionary definitions of "morally" and "forcing" as the meaning of "morally forcing" until you say it means something else. ……… Not bad, lchic. That's two out of three.

Now on to THIS bandwagon, eh ? Trying to take on her NEW tag-line, someone has got it earlier !

cantabb to WRCooper: "...You do NOT know what I write, But that has NOT prevented you from making a baseless speculation. A speculation is as baseless as your appeal to Forum readers. That IS the "problem."..."

You're such a diplomat cantabb.

Calling a spade a spade. I know this hits some nerves. Aww !

Don't forget it's a forum -- NOT like the cocktail parties on Mass. Ave, I used to go to.

If my security problems were sorted out so that I could work - I'd be off this thread and working.

What a sorry excuse ! Is THIS really what you’ve been doing here ? Abusing the NYT forum privilege – for no better reason than just for your own personal situation.

Under the current situation - it seems to me that I'm doing what I have to do - for myself - and in terms of my obligations.

Your situation, current and past, and your obligations are ALL YOURS, and yours alone – absolutely nothing to do with this Forum or NYT, no matter how strenously you try to make it so.
