    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Can we do a better job of finding truth? YES. Click "rshow55" for some things Lchic and I have done and worked for on this thread.

We can use our imagination - What if Spock and Kirk returned to earth now? What would they say? What would they know to do?

What if Spock we assigned to sort out the logical problems that stood in the way of cooperation and peace.

What if the people who wrote these articles, and knew the things they reported on - were involved, too?

Some "insoluble" problems might be quite soluble. People already know a great deal about controlling and harmonizing their intellect and emotions - and often do it well. In some key spots, we need to do it better.

Gisterme has known something about these things for a while - as this fine posting shows. http://www.mrshowalter.net/a_md6000s/md6237.htm
