Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

Loons play an important role in American Culture :

The legend of the Loon by Kathy-Jo Wargin is another one
of her great legends. Although it doesn't specifically
mention Michigan it certainly could be. The grandmother
becomes concerned when her grandchildren go out in a boat
and are late coming back. The children are lost and finally
find their way back by following the loon. Grandma turned
into the loon to show them the way back to safety. Great for
older kids, although our younger ones enjoy the story as
well. Begs the question - if a poster here were 'the
loon', and had that poster concerns about the safety of the
childen of the world (many grown-up), then, were the advise of
'the loon' to be followed ... would it be a safer world for
all.
Stories - should get told more often!
What's the story of 'the cold war' ... how did it affect
'the children (many of whom were grown-ups) ... why did it
happen ... has it stopped .... yet? ... No! ... Why not? Was
it a scary story? Is it still scary?

The lack of enforcement by the Moderators has given
Showalter the firm belief that they are aiding him in his
"work"....thereby making everything worse....

The premise itself: Loony !

Is this how you "connect the dots" ?
No wonder !

Americans are fond of High School reunions .... oh here's a
note on bluestar ...
'Forever gushing-up to his teachers - hand raised -
'Sir! Sir!' to be totally ignored and dismissed for his
senseless 'tittle-tattle'
