    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

"08" should be "8" after WebX? The intended address is http://forums.nytimes.com/webin/WebX?8@13.LpUabJXSJtR.2193413@.f28e622/15727

Made no difference. More of the same.

Bush Seeks Putin's Support on Iraq, Iran By REUTERS Published: CAMP DAVID, Md. (Reuters) - .............

A lot of posts on this thread since 13639-43 http://forums.nytimes.com/webin/WebX?8@13.LpUabJXSJtR.2193413@.f28e622/15332 - but it seems to me that those posts bear rereading.

Don't think so !

Some things have changed some.

NOT enough. MOST of it the same !

13639 begins: It is vital that people be able to find out what happened when it matters enough. .........I made that point in May 14, 2001 EST (#3870 - .............. The truth matters because we have to make decisions - other people have to make decisions - and both life and logic can be complicated.

And, you know "what happened when it matters enough" ?

I was asked to look for stability conditions in what Kline later called "sociotechnical systems" - and asked to find end games that resulted in stable, efficient, humane function by Eisenhower. ...

BUT that's what YOUR story ? Where's the corroboration ? Your serial references to your own posts is NOT corrobration !

Even if it were (hard to believe, though), you say that you were asked to do this publicly on this NYT Forum on MD ? And, single-handedly, without ANY access whatsoever to classified government sources ?

As of now, the Bush administration refuses to face - or clarify - key questions about the logical structure, facts, weights, and team identifications and rules involved in their interaction with other groups and nations. And refuses to face - or clarify - key questions about the logical structure, facts, weights, team identifications and rules involved in their interaction with American citizens.

And, you expect them to release all behind-the-scenes stuff. Something NO government -- Australian, UK's, or American [under Eisenhower or any one else] -- does (or did) that ! You don't understand the international diplomacy or discussions.

A child should be able to see that.

Why can't you ?

Cantabb asks SO ? on some points that are very practical indeed. It seems to me that cantabb ought to know that.

"[O]ught to ? Can't divine !

Lchic and I have been putting our primary efforts on this board toward establishing effective communication between nation states - so that risks of death and agony can go down. Have we been ineffective? Maybe. Bush and Putin will know something about that. We've tried to be useful.

Really ? By generalities and Zen conundrums ? You think people in the both these governments (we agree with them or not) are NOT aware of sunday school things you keep passing off as IF new and apocalyptic ?

And we've done a lot of work on the nuts and bolts of missile defense, as well. 84-86 http://forums.nytimes.com/webin/WebX?8@13.LpUabJXSJtR.2193413@.f28e622/99

No evidence !

And, you're STILL NOT trying to focus and be coherent.

You STILL have NOT said: What is it you have been working on and how? And, what have you accomplished, specifically ?

Do you have even AN iota of classified information at all ? Other than what's available in the public press around the world and available to ALL, including the government officials involved.

cantabb -

"...You must NOT remember the exchange we've had !..."

Of course I remember it. The reason it ended is because I got the sense that you had no clue what it was about. I haven't changed my mind about that yet. :-)

"...Once again, what do you think you accomplished being a "regular" and participating in the endless slop ?..."

What I've accomplished by participating in this forum is being entertained. What have you accomplished here or on any other web forum, cantabb?

AGAIN, Read the posts carefully. I know it has been somewhat of a challenge for you.

Well, some like participating in slop.

What have you accomplished here or on any other web forum, cantabb?

Nothing more than any other poster would want: a focused discussion. Something the "regulars" on this Forum can't seem to have.
