Science
Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

"...Others are busy making my point..."
Your point? Heh heh. Welcome to the bandwagon,
cantabb. The same point has already been made ad
infinitum. Just face it. This forum is charmed. :-)

You must NOT remember the exchange we've had !
Once again, what do you think you accomplished being a
"regular" and participating in the endless slop ? And
defending it in an extended debate with me ?
YOU, join the bandwagon !

I say I say I say ....
That boy with the barnyard manners is about as sharp as a
bowling ball.
It's a long way up to the schoolyard from the barnyard.
If only the boy had a sense of humour

Is the new MD philosophy designed to protect us against the
poor?
The gap between rich and poor more than doubled from 1979
to 2000, an analysis of government data shows. The gulf is
such that the richest 1 percent of Americans in 2000 had more
money to spend after taxes than the bottom 40 percent.
Is this why the MD forum remains charmed?
Science has it's place.
But not isolated from 'The Arts'

Gisterme....
I like your ideas about KAEP but I have reservations about
wealthy nations treating poor nations as KAEP clients. Surely
all nations need to be PARTNERS in something so momentous.
Especially when the cost of a KAEP is fairly small and the
benefits of a Union of Countries is so large?
I also tend to feel uncomfortable with your post civil war
analysis of Lincoln's intent. Likewise your assessment of the
outcome of FDR's New Deal. Do you have any references to
support your views? Where does the Marshall plan fit into your
assessment for example?
Cheers

Fred are you implying that Gisterme is mightier than both
pen and sword combined?
