Science
Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

Cantabelle is a deceitful dolt who has come to this forum
without any substance and with the express intent of closing
the forum down.
He will probably pick this sentence word by word and cry
'nonsense' to each and every one. He thinks that is discourse
and powerful argument!
To which I say .... so what!
Get a life Cantabelle.
PS 1. If you think Cash For Comments doesn't happen in the
USA then I've got a great little bridge in down town Brooklyn
I can sell you.
PS 2. KAEP is the ultimate future of Missile Defence
startegy ... get with the program.

Ooops ... that should read 'strategy' ... not startegy.

cantabb: "...I don’t want to belabor the
point,..."
gisterme: Then don't do it any more,
cantabb.
I wouldn't have to do that anymore, IF you read carefully
the exchanges you comment on ....
As I've said, I'm nobody's judge; still, I
can't help but notice the mountains where there should be
nothing but teeny tiny mole-hills. I'll ask again. Why don't
you post something "on topic" if you're so troubled about
it?
You can't tell the mountains from the molehill, unless you
took care to know what exactly went on in the exchanges you
tend to comment on.
If you'd use half the energy "on topic" that
you've use in complaining about not being "on topic" we
might get some energy going here.
Strange that YOU don't ask the "regulars" to help you out
here. And, am surprised none have responded to that either --
YET.
Am NOT troubled -- as much as you and other "regulars" seem
to be. I've watched the Forum enough. You're at least correct
in saying that the 'fanciest pacemaker' are of no use now, and
there has been NO pulse for some time. Time for turning it in
!
Since you seem still in denial, and want to keep it alive,
may be that comes out as vested interest. No time for
miracles.
Maybe we could try a high-voltage jump
start! 3!...2!...1!...BzxZZZzzz...ZappppSnapCrackle....pop!
:-)
At least ask the now-silent "regulars" to bring the cables
!
If NOT careful, it could well become a make-shift
mausoleum.

STILL in the school yard ???
Cantabelle is a deceitful dolt who has come
to this forum without any substance and with the express
intent of closing the forum down.
"[D]eceitful dolt" ? Libelous !! Would be so
DownUnder, too !
Am NOT the FIRST or ONLY one (ASK Gisterme) to make THAT
suggestion: I made another one that still can't seem to
recall.
It's by the abuse by some (but, NOT all) of the "regulars"
(including YOU, with your juvenile actions) that the Forum you
vociferously (but NOT in a civilkized manner) defend is in a
position like it is today.
Where's your 'substance', Fredmoore ? You know, juvenile
behavior and name calling -- NO substitute for 'the substance'
He will probably pick this sentence word by
word and cry 'nonsense' to each and every one. He thinks
that is discourse and powerful argument!
Pointing out juvenile bahavior and repeated
misinterpretations -- NOT just picking the sentence apart.
It's major surgery !
What the heck you -- with your name-calling and the school
yard tactics -- know about "discourse" and "argument." A
discourse on "Science" is NOT like you're used in the
school-yard ! Don't know if that's in your part of 'DownUnder'
[NOT in other parts I've friends in ]!
To which I say .... so what! Get a life
Cantabelle.
I already have a pretty full and productive one.
You can try it too, DownUnder, ONCE you decide to leave the
school yard !
PS 1. If you think Cash For Comments doesn't
happen in the USA then I've got a great little bridge in
down town Brooklyn I can sell you.
Discussed and dismissed on "Science in the News." Still
hurting, eh ?
BEFORE you sell the bridge, first FIND OUT where exactly
it's located ? Before that, find out what freedom of speech,
American Style, IS, and what goes on on late-night shows !
PS 2. KAEP is the ultimate future of Missile
Defence startegy ... get with the program.
THAT's it, eh ? Wow ! So simple !

Rex Hudler, longtime angel broadcaster, busted for
marijuana on a random suitcase search in Kansas City. No
explosives were found. Or missiles.
