Science
Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a
nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a
"Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed
considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense
initiatives more successful? Can such an application of
science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable,
necessary or impossible?

And now for some music (courtesy of the Beatles) to put a
few more megatons in your warheads:
Wait!
Oh yes, wait a minute Mr. poster
Wait!
Wai-ai-ai-ait Mr. poster
Mr. poster look and see (oh yeah)
You got a letter in your forum for me (please please Mr.
po-o-o-ster)
I've been waiting such a long time (oh yeah)
Since I heard from that missile of mine.
There must be some word today-ay-ay-ay From my missile so
far away
Please Mr. poster look and see
If there's a letter in the forum for me.
I've been standing here waiting Mr. poster So-o-o patiently
For just a card or just a letter
Saying it's returning home to me.
Please Mr. poster
Mr. poster look and see (oh yeah)
You got a letter in your bag for me (please please Mr.
po-o-o-ster)
I've been waiting such a long time (oh yeah)
Since I heard from that missile of mine.
So many days you passed me by-y-y-y
See the tear standing in my eye
You didn't stop to make me feel better
By leaving me a post or a letter
Mr. poster look and see
You got a letter in your forum for me (oh yeah)
I've been waiting such a long time
Since I heard from that missile of mine.
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute, oh yeah (Mr.
poster)
Wait a minute, wait a minute, oh yeah (Mr. poster)
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute, oh yeah (Mr.
poster)
You gotta check it and see, one more time for me.
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute, oh yeah (Mr.
poster)
Wait a minute, wait a minute, oh yeah (Mr. poster)
Mr. po-o-o-ster, oh yeah (wait a minute, wait a minute)
Deliver the letter, the sooner the better.
You gotta wait a minute, wait a minute, oh yeah (Mr.
poster)

Now you're getting with the program mr fredmoore.
"The Poster"'s identity is not important - harumph.
They've made a song about him, I see.
And here's a movie he's made

Buck ....
I prefer the movie version ... "The Poster Always Rings
Twice.
"The Poster Always Rings Twice (1946) is one of the best
film noirs of all time - and one of the earliest prototypes of
today's 'erotic thrillers.' The screenplay (by Harry Ruskin
and Niven Busch) was based on the controversial first
novel/pot-boiler (1934) of the same name by notorious writer
James M. Cain. Cain was known for novels with forbidden lust,
love triangles, brutal, raw sexiness, and adultery-motivated
murder. Two previous, sexually-charged classic film noirs
adapted from Cain's novels had met with both critical and
box-office success: MGM's Double Indemnity (1944) and Warner
Bros.' Mildred Pierce (1945).
