Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Read Debates, a new Web-only feature culled from Readers' Opinions, published every Thursday.

"Quae cum ita sunt" Caesar's Gallic Commentaries

Robkettledrum: You beat this forum with your inane off topic posts and you have the nerve to question Jorian's comments.

Since your head is "up and locked" you might need a plate glass window installed in your abdomen. Otherwise your outlook will be awfully poopy!

A swag of interesting posts, since i last posted, starting here almarst2002 5/26/03 7:49am

The last - non contributary few - from the NYT in-house mole ... Mr Poster do you get a paycheque from NYT and a brown paperbag from the CIA? ... Does this guy pay tax on his full wages? ... If so there's a record - and a smart inquiry looking for truth would discover it.

Never mind Rottenburger, Lou. NYT will delete all his posts again as soon as they get back from the long weekend - put him on ignore like everyone else does.

Wow ... 3 mins after my comment on the NYT's Human-Resource

and 'Mr Poster' noticed ... and back to trash posting to cover-up his little footprints in the text .... how proud of you your employing entity(s) must be - displaying such ineffective-efficiency.

Please spell it out for me, Luna - WHO is the in-house mole, and WHO is "Poster"?

Ever yours in confusion,

So now it's the laughing Bhudda ?

So now it's the laughing Bhudda ?

What's the laughing Bhudda?

Is this a sensitive question, like "I could tell you but then I'd have to kill you" or maybe "If they find out I know they'll kill me" ?

Remember loony, just because you're paranoid, it doesn't mean they're not really after you! :)

Did 'god' block you when you last knelt to pray?
