Science
Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's
war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars"
defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make
the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an
application of science be successful? Is a militarized space
inevitable, necessary or impossible?

I wonder what polls from Europe, or southern Africa, or South
America would show. Could it be that some ideologues in the Bush
administration have some things dangerously wrong?
Maybe they have some things right. But if they do, they'd do
better about "hearts and minds" if they didn't so often lie, and
support frauds, such as the MD boondoggle.

Nukes are not a "right answer" to any question at all. But the
people in the "nuclear establishment" want to preserve their jobs,
and promotion prospects - - and so they come up with ideas to suit.

It's a long while since the Big K took a shoe to hit the
bench and make a point at the UN ... perhaps that time has come
again !

President Bush will describe his broad strategy for the next
stages of the war on terrorism on Monday, six months after the
attacks on New York and Washington, suggesting that he may pursue
the terrorist network of Al Qaeda even inside countries that do
not ask for an American presence. - http://www.nytimes.com/2002/03/10/international/10PREX.html
If this is right for US, shouldn't it be right for others? mazza,
What would be the Jesus's point of view? And, if it right for
others, should we support India attacking the Pakistan? The Russia -
attacking Gorgia, Pakistan and ... US for creating, arming and
harboring the Islamic terrorists? And for preventing the Serbia and
Montenegro to fight the terrorists?
That way seems the shortest one to Hell. And not even pawed with
a good intentions either!;)

it actually worked .

The DIRECT questions for mazza:
1. Do you agree that the world today faces the unprecedented
military disballance in favor of US?
2. Do you agree that US military force composition and now its
doctrine as well are offensive?
3. Do you agree that the US assumed the right to attack any
nation which can potentially treaten the US interests as defined by
some "shadow government"? The right of preventive strike even using
the nuclear wearpons?
4 Do you approve the doctrine that all the reast of the nations
have to chose to either being isolated, disarmed and marginolized or
being destroyed unless falling in line with US vision of the world?
