    Missile Defense

Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars" defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an application of science be successful? Is a militarized space inevitable, necessary or impossible?

"Americans trust Republicans and President Bush more than Democrats on the nation's main concerns: safeguarding the nation, fighting terrorism and improving the economy.

MYST:

Were you born an idiot, or did you graduate "Maggot-cum-Loud" from Idiot University?

Let's take the 3 items mentioned above separately. OK?

1st) Safeguardring the nation: What did "born-again-Bush do, before 9/11, that Clinton, daddy Bush and Reagan didn't do to safeguard the nation? ANSWER: Absolutely nothing!

2nd) Fighting terrorism: Before 9/11, Bush administration gave Taliban $43 million to stop growing opium poppies. After 9/11, he stripped away more of our Constitutionally guaranteed freedoms and put armed troops in our airports where guardsmen can and do turn away people who are anti-Bush, even tho they have non-refundable tickets (fascism running rampant).

3rd) Improving the economy: This is the biggest joke of all. - - The Reagan-Bush administrations took an $850,000,000,000 national debt that took 200 hundred years to accumulate and more than quadrupled it to $4,000,000,000,000 in just 12 years.

Now how did these anti-American Republican greed heads accomplish this fiscal miracle? Why they just gave the wealthiest Americans a humongous tax break, initiate stars and expand the military by multiple billions of our tax dollars.

Clinton turned this horrible fiscal situation around by reversing all 3 points, and gave us a surplus.

Now, born-again Bush gave the wealthiest Americans an even bigger tax break, initiates his version of star-wars and pours uncounted billions of dollars into the military.

Tell me MYST 5.1, what kind of an idiot expects a different outcome 2nd time around? BTW is that 5.1 the measure of your IQ?

Atheist Bill

Good guy,

Don't you think Myst was sighting a news release by NewsMax, BBC, Washington Post, Fox News, L.A. times and the AP that said the DLC did a poll of registered democrats and he post the results. I guess you are the moron that can't comprehend the idea that a democratic poll funded and paid for by the DNC said:

"Americans trust Republicans and President Bush more than Democrats on the nation's main concerns: safeguarding the nation, fighting terrorism and improving the economy."

So I guess in the end you are calling the democrats morons... I AGREE!

Maybe Myst will stick up for her/him self but it is clear you don't have a clue.

1st) Safeguardring the nation: Bill Clinton did nothing either but President Reagan brought down the USSR... I guess that was a sad day for you!

2nd) Fighting terrorism: Bill Clinton cut the CIA, NSA, FBI budgets so deeply that it is no wonder this happened! And as for what Al Gore would have done, Bill Clinton is already on record with that thought and I guess you did not like his answer too.

3rd) Improving the economy: According to Mr. Allen Greenspan the economy was headed for a rescission in the last term of Bill Clintons presidency!

So what is your point? If you think Al Gore could do better refer to Bill Clintons comments on the Grid lock and the defunct government Al Gore would have caused us to endure. I guess Al Gore will not be going to Bill Clintons Xmas dinner after all! HAHAHA

You migh fit in better in Cuba and or China, why don't you move? There is lots of Bush bashing going on there!

By the way you can read Karl Marx in Cuba by candle light considering that is the only light the "Bearded" one will let you have on xmas.

Lights out in Cuba for Xmas! Oh yes! I forgot Cuba has a 90% literacy rate but yet over 2 million books are band in Cuba! What is the point of having a literacy level that high if there are very few books that you can read? To make sure everyone can understant Karl Marx, Vladimir Lenin?

I doubt it - You make too many assumptions.
