Technology has always found its greatest consumer in a nation's
war and defense efforts. Since the last attempts at a "Star Wars"
defense system, has technology changed considerably enough to make
the latest Missile Defense initiatives more successful? Can such an
application of science be successful? Is a militarized space
inevitable, necessary or impossible?

Bush and his 'old economy' corporate crooks are crazy to be
wasting good money on NMD (national missile defense).
What they really need to invest in is a good PEM (Ponzi escape
module) that could carry them all safely beyond the ENRON crook's
hide-out in Brazil.

I just got off the phone with my friend in Moscow who happens to
be a child hood friend and church mate with Mr. Putin. BTW- Pres.
Putin is a devout Christian and goes to mass EVERY Sunday even if he
is sick. Anyway Nataliya says that Mr. Putin is privately ambivalent
about the the USA backing out of the ABM. Publicly he has to put on
a facade of disappointment. I trust Nataliya's word because last
summer on a trip to Moscow I got to have dinner with Nataliya's
family and Mr. Putin's family. I know fluent Russia and Ukrainian so
I was able to converse with him about things. I liked him and I got
the impression he was an honest man.

It is a sad state to see so many of us wanting to be heard. We
write and wait, and still the world happens around.

For every new technology, there's a new counter technology.
History has proven that repeatedly. NMD will be nothing more than
expensive obsolete trash. And then we'll all wonder what was the
point.
Never the less the UCSF ICN now has 29 of them at
a tune of $75,000.00 a pop!
Is it any wonder why healthcare is getting unmanageable and very
expensive in the U.S.?

Without this unit people will die. This unit gives early warnings
to desats. Don't you think it is worth it... even if it saves lives?
I do! I am sure you do too... I am sure you would be begging for the
technology when it can save your life. I can see you now in the ER
saying don't use that device it cost too much and was developed from
SDI and MDA technology!

NMD will be monumental waste of money that will do little good
against any realistic future attacks that might be launched.
The timing of NMD is horrible, as we have MANY, MANY more
pressing concerns that need to be funded, but will be neglected
under the new BUsh warhawkish agenda.

My family pays $142.85 total per month with a $5.00 co-pay for
the best health care system in the world. Go to Russia and the
Ukraine for you socialized heath care and see what kind of care you
get there! After all they are the people that came up with it! If
you are really sick you will more then likely die!

BTW, it's really very simple to defeat NMD with low technology
and help from nature. Lasers, which is a significant component of
NMD, cannot penetrate clouds or fog. And it's very easy to use
decoys to thwart any NMD targets. There has to be a better way, like
diplomacy, or threat of massive retaliation?(has worked in the
past). Unfortunately for Bush and Cheney's contributors, it won't
make them any money.

If you like diplomacy so much then I will buy you a first class
ticket to Afghanistan to meet with the Talaban and Bin Ladan to come
up with a diplomatic solution to him attacking us! Go for it man! I
would just wonder how many holes you will be riddled with when you
come back?
